The tutors are really friendly and support you when you need help.
The Supported Learning Department offers courses to a wide range of learners who require additional support for learning.
We are situated on the ground floor of the college for easy access and our facilities include a purpose-built area for enterprise activities, including cafes and exhibitions of student work.
Students are involved in a wide variety of activities designed to help the learner fulfil their full potential whether that is progressing onto a mainstream course, supported employment or accessing other services in the community.
A year in Supported Learning involves many fundraising events, which everyone is involved in planning and participating in. These include our annual Christmas Fayre, Elmwood Idol, fashion shows, running weekly cafés and sponsored events to mention only a few! These activities go towards funding student residentials and trips outwith college which enrich and widen the learner’s college experience.
We also run school link courses in conjunction with local high schools to allow 3rd and 4th year pupils to sample some of the curriculum Supported Learning has to offer and meet the supportive and welcoming staff.
