A Work Placement Programme
Education into Enterprise is an exciting new partnership between a consortium of educational establishments; the Scottish Chambers of Commerce and the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils Scotland that can help you tap into the expertise of ambitious, enthusiastic students.
The Education into Enterprise programme aims to assist students studying Higher National programmes gain invaluable work experience in a wide variety of industries, by putting you in touch with businesses, who can utilise their skills. The benefits to businesses and students are significant and successful students’ CV’s have a real edge in today’s competitive jobs market.
The Education into Enterprise Project student placements are in small to medium sized businesses and third sector organisations, each placement will match the student skills with employer needs adding a valuable team member to the organisation. Thus giving the student practical experience and evidence of a productive work experience further developing skills and enhance potential job outcomes.
Last year Elmwood students who participated in EIE had the opportunity to working 5 star hotels in Malta, work on a range of golf courses. Periods of work experience enhance CV's and give students the opportunity to put their learning in to practise.
