Elmwood College held its annual Freshers’ Fair this week, with information stalls from agencies including Careers Scotland, The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust, Business Gateway, Fat Sam’s nightclub and Active Schools. There were also some fun activities, which included a bungee bouncy castle and inflatable football pitch. The College’s hospitality department provided a barbecue.
Student Andrew Reidpath, said “What a great day! I met lots of new people, was given the opportunity to sign up for clubs, got loads of free advice and took home some freebies too!!
Principal Jim Crooks said, “We know that students have come to Elmwood with their ambitions and hopes for your future and we don’t take this lightly, especially at this particular time when so many individuals have not been so fortunate to gain a place in College or University. Freshers’ Week is a great way to introduce students to college life and allows them to see just what opportunities are available. We want to help everyone at Elmwood as much as we can.”
