A young Elmwood College chef, Christopher Taylor recently represented the Rotary Club of the Howe of Fife in the district final of the Rotary Young Chef Competition, which was held in Dundee College.
Christopher was selected to represent the club at the branch competition held in Elmwood a few weeks ago. Although he did not win the final, he came a very creditable fourth, having competed against 14 young chefs from across the East of Scotland.
Elmwood Hospitality lecturer, Willie Balfour coached and assisted Christopher in the lead up to the competition and was there to support him throughout the day of the competition.
Rick Bond, Section Manager, Management commented, “Elmwood hospitality department has an enviable reputation for training young chefs, who go on to achieve great things in the hospitality industry. I don’t doubt that Christopher has the potential to go far.”
