It’s a good course; I really enjoy colouring and cutting. I have made some good friends and am looking forward to coming back next year.
Level 3 Hairdressing students from Elmwood College have been given a little extra support from the Hairdressing Council, in conjugation with the VTCT Charitable Trust recently.
The support, in the form of grants, were presented to the class, who were all very grateful and commented that it will be put to good use.
Lecturer, Janice Whyte said, "The bursary is a major boost for students where material costs can be a particular barrier. It is exciting that there is also recognition of the various associated costs with learning, such as childcare, books, study materials and travel costs. There is no doubt that this additional support will enable some talented students to progress to be appropriately supported and continue to complete their course successfully.”
She continued, "Elmwood warmly welcome this initiative that will provide improved support for our students.”
