Students on Course for Great Future.

Macdonald Linden Hall Golf & Spa have signed a long-term agreement to work with Elmwood College in Cupar, Fife, to help develop training and education within the golf and greenkeeping industry.

As part of the agreement, Linden Hall will sponsor an award for greenkeeping students and provide workplacement opportunities throughout the hotel and golf course for students studying leisure-based courses at the college.

Geoff Dixon, Director of Golf, said, “This is a great opportunity for Linden Hall to help develop greater links with the industry and provide students with relevant industry opportunities.”

Based on the outskirts of Morpeth, Northumberland, Macdonald Linden Hall is set in 450 acres of parkland and woodland. The par 72 course, designed by Jonathan Gaunt, is one of six championship courses owned and run by Macdonald Golf across the UK.

Continued Geoff, “We have an excellent range of golf and practice facilities at Linden Hall, combined with experienced and knowledgeable staff. We are continuing to develop our training strategy with key partners as part of our ongoing commitment to driving high standards within our industry, and we consider our partnership with Elmwood College to be an important part of that development.”

With our greenkeeping and new golf based awards, together with Macdonald Hotel’s facilities and commitment to training will, I am sure, provide exciting future opportunities for our student groups and both organisations.”
