It’s a good course; I really enjoy colouring and cutting. I have made some good friends and am looking forward to coming back next year.
Students from Elmwood College’s Hair and Beauty department presented Cancer Network Fife with a cheque for £300 recently.
The students raised the much needed money hosting a catwalk show at the College. The event entitled ‘The Four Seasons’ was a competition organised by the Level 3 Hairdressing students as part of their course. Students were challenged to design hair and make-up styles, which captured the essence of each of the seasons.
Helen Anderson Co-ordinator at Cancer Network Fife said, “The Hair and Beauty show was a fun evening and a great success, and I would like to say a huge thank you to the students for choosing Cancer Network Fife to benefit from all their hard work.”
She continued, “Our aim is to provide information, advice and emotional support at what may be the most challenging time in a person’s life. With the help of generous donations such as this we will continue to see improvements in the scope of our service, supporting those in Fife affected by cancer.”
Lesley Muir, Section Manager for Hair and Beauty, spoke proudly of the students’ achievement saying, “The level of technical ability and the creativity demonstrated by the students was outstanding. Cancer Network Fife is a fantastic charity and it was wonderful to be involved in helping them with our donation.”
