Elmwood College Art & Design, Interior Decoration and Visual Merchandising have just concluded another successful year with their annual exhibition. The exhibition was formally opened by local artist, Reinhard Behrens RSW and was well attended by family, friends and college staff educationalists from local schools.
The annual exhibition provides the opportunity for students to showcase their work, including examples of printmaking, screen-printing, drawing, graphic design, interior decoration as well as traditional painting techniques.
NC Art & Design student, Ally Burdge, said, "We all worked really hard to make sure it was a success. The exhibition is open to anyone wanting to come and have a look at some of the fantastic work!"
Reinhard, said, “It was a delight and an honour to open the exhibition at Elmwood College. It was fantastic to see such a vast range of artist styles being sold by students of all ages and backgrounds. The works are both stimulating and evocative work that will appeal to a wide audience.”
Course Tutor Susan Murray said, “The exhibition is aimed to convey the exciting imagery and composition that can be achieved through art work. Individual pieces reflected each student’s personal artistic approach, illustrating their diverse interests, styles and experiences.”
The exhibition was well received by all those had the opportunity to see the work on display; it proved to be a very popular part of the College’s open day.
The exhibition will be open to the public until Wednesday, 2nd June 9.00 am – 12.00 noon.
