Elmwood College Achieves SGS Energy Performance Certificate

Elmwood College is pleased to announce that they have become the first college in the Scotland to be awarded the SGS Energy Performance certification, highlighting that they are an environmentally aware college.

Property & Buildings Manager, Gordon Ogilvie said, “Whilst the College has had an environmental policy in place for a number of years, the general issue of sustainability has become more and more apparent in recent years. As a result this new mandatory certificate has been introduced to make sure that any business premises with more than 1000 square foot comply with modern environmental requirements.”

He continued, “With the help and passion of our team at Elmwood, we have developed a process that will create designs which minimise the negative impact on the environment. The certificate is a key achievement and will help drive our dedication and focus to this ever important area during daily operations. We are committed to fully introducing a range of initiatives to encourage all staff and students to be more environmentally friendly.”
