Who is the Course For?
The course is for people who wish to acquire the skills to find employment in the gamekeeping sector.

Entry Requirements
Applicants require a minimum of 4 Standard Grades at 3 or 4, one of which should be English. Relevant practical experience and a clear understanding of a keeper's job would be advantageous. Applicants with a mature attitude seeking a change in career are welcome and will be assessed on an individual basis.

How will I Study?
The course is delivered over 3 twelve-week blocks. Work experience placements are an integral part of the course. Students will also undertake proficiency tests such as BASC and the DMQ.

SCQF level for this course is Level 4/5

Job Opportunities and Progression Routes
On successful completion you can move on to a job as an underkeeper or a gamekeeper or other related employment on either upland or lowland estates. Alternatively you could take a higher qualification.


HNC Gamekeeping and Wildlife Management

Who is the Course For?
The course is for people who wish to undertake management responsibilities within the gamekeeping / wildlife conservation sector.

Entry Requirements
Applicants should have 2 Highers at C or above or a National Certificate in a relevant subject.
Applicants with a mature attitude seeking a change in career are welcome and will be assessed on an individual basis.

How will I Study?
The course is delivered over 3 twelve-week blocks. A 12 week work placement is included in the course and provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience.
