NC in General Agriculture
Who is this Course For?
The course provides training in husbandry skills for
those wishing work as stock-persons and unit managers.
It increases an understanding of the farming industry
and develops the ability to undertake tasks associated
with the industry.
Entry Requirements
Applicants require a minimum of 4 Standard Grades at
3 or 4, one of which should be English. Practical experience
or a keen interest in farm work would also be advantageous.
Ppplicants with a mature attitude seeking a change in career are welcome and will be assessed on an individual basis.
How will I Study?
The course is delivered over 3 twelve week blocks. Options of fencing, drystane dyking and
wildlife conservation are available. Fork lift truck,
tractor driving skills and Sprayer Safety Certificates
are also offered during the course.
SCQF level for this course is Level 4/5
