Ground Crop Sprayer
National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) Proficiency Certificate PA2A Ground Crop Sprayer).
The course is designed to help the student gain the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure competence in applying pesticides safely and effectively and to cover all of the elements involved in the safe use of a Ground Crop Sprayer and help the student to comply with the legal requirements of pesticide usage.

Decontamination and maintenance
The pesticide courses take the candidate up to the accepted level but do not include the National Proficiency Test which is an additional cost. Application/registration forms can be found in the centre of the National Proficiency Test Handbook and tests and handbooks can be provided by the college.
Tests are arranged on the same week as training (wherever possible). If this does not suit, then the test can be re-arranged.
Complete novices are urged to go away and practice on the knapsack/tractor until they feel confident to sit the test(s).
It is strongly recommended that the update course be attended to go over the information received for PA1 and PA6 in preparation for your test.
