ECDL Extra

BCS The Chartered Institute for IT is the accreditation body for ECDL Extra. At the end of each module of study a 45 minute examination needs to be undertaken in college.

The four modules that make up ECDL Extra are:

Word Processing

Word processing basic tasks
Word processing advanced tasks

Spreadsheet Software

Spreadsheet basic tasks
Spreadsheet advanced tasks

Presentation Software

Slides and presentation
Drawing tasks

Improving Productivity using IT

Using tools to help save time and effort when producing documents

Cost £200

Students who achieve both the ECDL Essentials and ECDL Extra are eligible for ECDL certification.
