Unit Clmc46x (Old Cs39) Using a Chainsaw from a Rope and Harness

Participants will develop practical skills in tree climbing and rescue techniques.  On successful completion of this unit of work you will be able to select, prepare and maintain tree climbing equipment, climb trees using recommended techniques and equipment and carry out rescue procedures.

The tree surgery units will allow the student to acquire the skills necessary to remove branches using hand tools/chainsaws safely and to carry out simple repairs to trees.  You will learn of the Legislation and Codes of Practice which apply to tree surgery.

Unlike the chainsaw course, this course is not an integrated training and assessment course, but training only.  However if you wish to progress further you can sit a test through NPTC or SSTS.  Information can be supplied.

*Lantra will issue an “attendance” certificate.

*Please note candidates must have the basic felling certificate from the chainsaw course before progressing to this course.

Cost (7 Days: Monday to Sunday – excluding Friday): £900.00
