A great opportunity to learn and grow – a breath of fresh air.
The Conservation team at Elmwood deliver a range of qualifications, which are designed to develop practical skills and raise understanding of issues relating to the countryside and the management of the natural heritage.
The course is led by a course leader who spent six years as a countryside ranger in the Pentland Hills National Park. Who brings a wealth of experience to the team, and their links with industry ensure that our conservation courses meet the needs of industry and to equip student to move on to university to complete a relevant degree or to find positions as Countryside Rangers.
Field trips and work placements form a key part of the courses. Recent field trips include an overnight field trip to Glencoe, a visit to Handa Island and a trip to Speyside.
