Animal Care

Our Animal Care facilities are based at our College Farm, in nearby Cupar Muir. Students have the opportunity to develop practical skills working with a variety of species from exotic reptiles to the cats and dogs.

Facilities include a dog-grooming facility, aviaries, kennels, cattery, dog training facilities, small animal rooms and outdoor area.

Our National Certificate students spend a period of 2 weeks on external work placement, spending time working with organisations including vets, kennels, catteries, pet shops and animal shelters.

Many of our students progress to university to study a range of degree subjects, whilst others find employment with a range of organisations including the SSPCA, kennels and catteries, animal charities, vets and animal welfare centres.

I particularly enjoy the anatomy class, it’s high paced and I get a lot out of it. The lecturer is fantastic!
