Student Association

A Message from Craig
I am Craig Martin, President of Elmwood’s Student Association, which is the elected body that represents the views and interests of all students who are studying at Elmwood College.

The Student Association is made up of a President, two Vice–Presidents, Treasurer, Secretary, International Representative, Disability Representative and a LGBT Representative.  These individuals along with Class Representatives work to deal with any issues which affect the learning experience of Elmwood’s students.

Education is more than just learning, it is a social experience where friendships and networking opportunities can develop, which can last a lifetime.  An Elmwood learning experience can open doors, develop individuals potential and change lives.

The Association’s Role
One of the key aims of the Student Association is to raise the profile of students and promote the diversity of the College. We believe in the rich culture which is embedded in all of our social lives and consider this as key in the continual growth and development of Elmwood College.

We aim to ensure that all student groups are represented and participate in the Student Association and its activities.

The Student Association represents the student voice on a comprehensive range of committees, with those who manage the College.

We aim to develop a range of social and information events which will encourage students to build social networks, allowing them to have a comprehensive social and educational experience during their time at Elmwood.

The Student President represents the views of Elmwood students in his dealings with the National Union of Students.

The President and Office Bearers play a key role in the College’s induction activities and ensure that new students are welcomed into the Elmwood Community.  They also actively promote Elmwood College and its courses to potential students, by providing a student's perspective on life at Elmwood.
